Yes it’s almost spring in Vancouver. And my almost spring style sadly includes cozy sweaters and non bulky coats. I love calling Vancouver home. Whenever i go to any other part of the world and come back to Vancouver, I feel extra blessed to be living here. However, one of these winters I may have to take off to Mexico or Thailand. Spending my earlier years in South Asian countries and having a warmer, olive skin tone means i need Vitamin D and sun exposure 5 times more than normal. My kitchen cabinet is filled with supplements that i have started taking occasionally.
These photos were taken on a surprisingly warm day that was sandwiched between weeks of rain. Apparently we have had the most rain in Vancouver in 63 years. To offset the blues, i tend to wear brighter colors and stay away from black greys.
However, for sun exposure it is essential to wear sunscreen which i did before my matifying foundation from clinique. As you may be able to tell for an everyday look you will find me with minimal makeup. I like to keep everything very natural specially when doing my own makeup. It’s a different story for fashion spreads.
Over time you will also learn about my love for thrifting and being practical about fashion. It can be easy to put style looks together without splurging and being eco-conscious.
